If you’re looking for budget friendly sun protection, look no further. The Coppertone Clearly Sheer sunscreen line is a great option. For review consideration, Bzz Agent sent me free samples of two types of this sunscreen: Coppertone Clearly Sheer for Sunny Days and Coppertone Sunscreen Continuous Spray.
According to Coppertone, the Clearly Sheer Sunscreen line has the following benefits:
- It absorbs in seconds for a clean and light feel.
- It has a moisturizing formula that leaves your skin soft and smooth.
- It won’t clog pores or cause breakouts (clinically tested on acne-prone skin).
- It has a matte finish that is perfect for use under makeup.
Over the last 6-weeks, I tested out both sunscreens and here’s my full review below.
Here, I’m wearing Coppertone Clearly Sheer on my hands and body and it is completely undetectable.
+Can be found a most common shopping venues, i.e. Target, Ulta, Walmart.
+It is budget friendly. You can purchase for under $10. If you use the Bzz Agent coupon, it can be purchased for about $8.00 and some change (including tax). However, if you purchase at Ulta, you can use their $3.50 coupon and pay under $8.00 with taxes included.
+The product (Coppertone Clearly Sheer for Sunny Days) does what it says:
- It did not make my acne worse.
- It can be used under makeup without complication; I had no problems using it with my Becca primer.
- It is absolutely sheer and easy to blend into the skin. If you have a deeper complexion, like me, you’ll have zero problems with this sunscreen white casting on your skin.
- My skin felt soft and smooth after use.
+Both types of Coppertone sunscreens were easy to use for the body, but I preferred the continuous spray version because I could spray it quickly and easily.
+Both types of Coppertone sunscreens are person of color friendly. I did not have to excessively work to blend in the sunscreen. It was so easy to use, I did not even need a mirror. There was absolutely no white casting on my skin and it dried matte.
+The Coppertone Clearly Sheer for Sunny Days has a very light and fresh fragrance and it didn’t smell like sunscreen at all.
-Unfortunately, the fragrance in the product made my eyes water initially. That’s only thing keeping it from being a 5 star product.
If Coppertone were to develop a fragrance free version, Coppertone Clearly Sheer for Sunny Days would be my go to everyday sunscreen. I really loved using this product and 5 ounces of product for under $10.00 is a great deal when my typical everyday facial sunscreen (Coola) is $36.00 for 1.7 ounces. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quality sunscreen at a drugstore price. However, I would caution anyone with sensitivity to fragrances.
