I didn’t forget that this is African American History month. And what better way can I celebrate a month highlighting the accomplishments of those who share my racial heritage than to recognize someone who is not only inspirational, but exceptionally talented?

Copeland defies traditional stereotypes which aim to pigeonhole women of color with rigid body type standards and exclude them from ballet.
